Welcome to the Davis County Independent (DCI) High School Hockey page! We are currently accepting new players for the 2025-26 season. At DCI, we have two team levels: Varsity and Junior Varsity (JV). To ensure that athletes are placed at the appropriate level, we conduct skills testing three times a year. This approach removes the decision-making process regarding player placement from coaches and management. The top 10 to 12 athletes will compete on the varsity team, while the remaining players will be eligible for the Junior Varsity team. The JV players can utilize their test scores to identify areas for skill improvement before the next testing session, creating a clear pathway to advance to the varsity team.

High school hockey players are assigned to teams using a school boundary map, this map is determined by the Utah High School Hockey leadership and is based on school district boundary maps. If you'd like assistance in locating your player's team, contact any high school hockey trustee using their team's page information.
